What We Do
Driveway Cleaning Services
More than just spraying water. Every driveway gets a tailored approach based on surface type and stain condition.
Oil & Grease Removal
Hot water (200°F+) combined with commercial degreasers breaks down petroleum-based stains at the molecular level. Even years-old oil spots lift out of the concrete pores — often with 90–95% stain removal.
Tire Mark Elimination
Black rubber transfer from tires builds up over time, especially in hot Tennessee summers. Our surface cleaners strip away rubber residue without scouring or etching the concrete underneath.
Algae & Moss Treatment
Shaded driveways and north-facing slopes grow algae and moss that make surfaces dangerously slick. We kill organic growth at the root with eco-friendly algaecides, improving both appearance and safety.
Surface Protection
After deep cleaning, we can apply a penetrating concrete sealer (optional) that slows re-staining and makes future cleanings easier. Your driveway stays cleaner longer.
Tailored Approach
Every Driveway Surface is Different
We don't use the same settings on every driveway. Concrete, asphalt, and pavers each need a specific approach.
Concrete Driveways
Hot water pressure wash at 2,500–3,500 PSI with commercial degreasers for oil spots. Surface cleaners provide even, streak-free results across large areas.
Most common in Crossville area. Concrete responds well to hot water and moderate pressure.
Asphalt Driveways
Lower pressure (1,500–2,000 PSI) to avoid stripping the binder. We use heated water and asphalt-safe cleaners to lift stains without damaging the surface.
Asphalt is softer than concrete — high pressure can scar it. We adjust accordingly.
Paver Driveways
Gentle pressure with wide-fan nozzles to clean without blasting joint sand out. We can re-sand joints after cleaning if needed (available as an add-on service).
Pavers need special care to preserve the interlocking pattern and joint stability.
Gravel & Aggregate
Low-pressure rinse with specialized cleaners to brighten exposed aggregate without dislodging stones or washing away the binding matrix.
Less common but we have the right approach when they come up.
FAQ
Driveway Cleaning Questions
Can you really remove old oil stains?
Yes — in most cases, dramatically. Hot water at 200°F+ combined with commercial-grade degreasers pulls oil out of concrete pores that cold water can't touch. While extremely old or deep stains (10+ years of repeated saturation) may leave a faint shadow, the improvement is typically 90–95%. We'll give you an honest assessment during your free estimate — and you'll be amazed at the difference.
How long does driveway cleaning take?
A standard two-car concrete driveway takes about 1–2 hours. Larger driveways, heavy staining, or asphalt surfaces (which require more care) may take longer. We'll give you a time estimate with your quote. Most jobs are completed in a single visit, and the driveway is usable again within an hour of completion.
Will pressure washing damage my asphalt driveway?
Not when done correctly — but it can if someone uses the wrong pressure. Asphalt is softer than concrete and requires lower PSI (1,500–2,000 vs 2,500–3,500). We specifically adjust our equipment for asphalt surfaces and use wider spray patterns to distribute force evenly. We've cleaned hundreds of asphalt driveways without a single incident of surface damage.
How do you prevent streaking or 'zebra stripes'?
We use professional surface cleaners — large rotating-head attachments that clean a wide path evenly. Unlike a wand or turbo nozzle (which can leave visible cleaning lines), surface cleaners produce a uniform finish. This is one of the key differences between professional equipment and rental units.
Should I seal my driveway after cleaning?
Sealing is optional but recommended — especially for concrete driveways. A penetrating sealer slows re-staining, makes future cleanings easier, and can extend the life of your concrete. We offer sealing as an add-on service. If you're interested, we'll discuss options during your estimate. The driveway must be completely dry before sealing, so it's typically done 24–48 hours after cleaning.
How often should I have my driveway professionally cleaned?
We recommend once a year for most driveways. Driveways with heavy tree coverage (more organic debris), multiple vehicles (more oil drips), or light-colored concrete (stains show more) may benefit from cleaning every 6–9 months. Regular cleaning prevents deep-set staining and keeps your property looking sharp.
